Seib, R. 1981 Southfield, Michigan 30 Aug area near a pool. Southfield to Berkeley, California 31 Aug The rain clouds are still forming this morning. Last night it rained and I drove through Proud Lake area seeing many Rana pipiens, R. sylvatica, Butorides and a large Thamnophis. Today I catch a late afternoon flight to Berkeley. Berkeley to Corral Hollow, San Joaquin Co., and return 19 Sept. I drove with Dave Darla to Corral Hollow, leaving Berkeley 17:30. Warm and sunny in Berkeley. Arrived I-580 by dusk, seeing no snakes on the first pass. We saw a freshly hit Road Runner and stopped to take its shell. I cut open its stomach and found an adult Sceloporus occidentalis and ~20 Orthopterans. Driving W from 580 at dusk we collected a DOR Pituophis. As darkness set in, the relative humidity increased along a two mile stretch with vegetation and a couple of creeks. I drove this repeatedly and collected a live Rhinocelus and Lampropeltis and a few more Pituophis. I became uncomfortably cold 20:50 so we drove back. We
