Bertley to Corral Hollow, and return
4 Aug and his purpose was to trap rodents,
especially heteromyids. He set 60
live traps on the Connally Ranch
near Castle Rock and I road-
hunted. I covered 100 miles in

was quite warm - 70°F saw
no sign of herp activity, not
even a GORG snake. Phil picked
up his traps on the morning of
the fifth and said the temperature
was over 90°F by 11:00.
Bertley to Southfield, Michigan
19 Aug Left home at 12:00 to make a 1:30
flight to Detroit. Waf met a
Metro airport 21:00 (EST), a three

Sheri Richman. Detroit = severe
culture shock; I may have
located Amerika.
