Seib, R. 1981 Bertley to Corral Hollow, and return 4 Aug and his purpose was to trap rodents, especially heteromyids. He set 60 live traps on the Connally Ranch near Castle Rock and I road- hunted. I covered 100 miles in 2 1/2 hours, driving from 19:00 to 21:30, just after dark. It was quite warm - 70°F saw no sign of herp activity, not even a GORG snake. Phil picked up his traps on the morning of the fifth and said the temperature was over 90°F by 11:00. Bertley to Southfield, Michigan 19 Aug Left home at 12:00 to make a 1:30 flight to Detroit. Waf met a Metro airport 21:00 (EST), a three hour difference, by friend, Sheri Richman. Detroit = severe culture shock; I may have located Amerika. Southfield to Ann Arbor, Michigan 20 Aug There is no country near Southfield. No place to attempt to collect. I drove to Ann Arbor and found the Natural History [illegible] Museum and the Natural Science Bldg, both
