Seib, R. 1980 22 Nov Berteloy to Hastings Reservation, Monterey Co., California the others. Rarely had caught a Didelphys in a tomahawk trap. Dave and family and Rosity faw and I went along the salmon lab to a cabin where we built a fire and sang songs and played guitars and became intoxicated until the very wee hours of the morning. I slept near the fireplace and a very active Neotoma kept me awake much of the time. 23 Nov Woke up late - 10:30 - and found that all were gone from camp. They had gone to check the salmon line and returned with quite a variety of species, including Dipodomys, Peromyscus, Perognathus, Neothrodonmys, a fox and two birds. Meanwhile, I was setting tomahawks. Last night after catching the rodents in live traps, I had set 14 more by myself. They were all checked this morning while I was sleeping and produced two more Dipodomys and several Peromyscus, including some large b californicus, and Perognathus californicus.
