Holmrs.R. 1959 Anas acuta 4 june Barrow, Umiat, Alaska. 2 seen flying near airport as our win plane landed. 11 june Barrow, Alaska 1 pair seen flying towards the Wild. They made a circle around me and then flew off in the same direction in which they had been flying. 1900 - 1 pr seen 30 yards behind ARL Bldg. on small pond. They flushed immed. and flew off in a cesterly direction. 12 june Barrow, Alaska 38 and 29 in pond just W. of ARL Bldg. They appeared to be just sitting - not feeding or other actions seen. 13 june Barrow, Alaska 118 and 39 seen in ponds west of the drum area. Upmbeing alarmed, they flew about 100 feet and settled on the snow. Within several minutes they had returned to the pond. 14 june Barrow, Alaska The same flock as noted above on 13 june was seen this morning
