Holmes, R 1962 Exunetes mauri 26 July Barrow, Alaska One adult + 3 juveniles seen at Britton's Gravel Ponds - The group stayed together- Probably a family group. The adult + The juvenile were collected. 1 Aug 8 immatures - No Gravel Ponds near Britton's Area. 3 Aug 60-70 immatures along the edge of Fresh Lake - Feeding in the shallow water or on the gravel. They were scattered along over 2-3 feet. 5 Aug 15-20 along Fresh Lake - 4 on the north end + 1 central marsh, 6-10 near Grant Point + 4-6 along the south shore airport lagoon. These are conservative numbers- some birds were flushed all along the route travelled. 6 Aug Again surprisingly large number were encountered today - 20-30 along Fresh Lake - Scattered 2+3s between The Wessel Creek postline wade + near swet polygon area south / postline R. - Several near the Pool +5 - in Principal area. - All immatures 13 Aug 8-10 immatures at Britton's Gravel Ponds. 14 Aug This was the most abundant species present at Britton's Gravel Ponds - 30-40 immatures several along Fresh Lake.
