Holmes,R. 1960 Erculets mauri 12 Aug Barrow, Alaska A group / 6 seen in Central marsh; I was collected by Mabel 13 Aug Three more were collected today. They all appear to be juveniles & differ from puzetos by a buffy breast band and much darker red on the back. Of course, the bell is also large - which is most distinctive. 14 Aug 2 seen today. The birds have been sticking to the region of the marsh which is adjacent to the east arm and in the corner of the marsh 16 Aug Iperwile Lake - Alaska In the island in the middle / The Lake (island from Cape Lisburne), I noted 2 Ad's + 2 immatures Feeding among the Prolongant Red-bats 25 Aug Barrow, Alaska Two seen in the ponds near Freshwater Lagoon. (Collected by P. / Ellis) 26 Aug -1 present in the above location. Lined among the phtholongs along the shore of the pond. 3 Sept I collected along both Creek, So. A familiar Lagoon.
