Holmes, P. 1962 Ereunetes pusillus 17 June Bannock, Haskel 80 cooked. The bird tips forward [illegible] After all this - the two birds moved off, feeding higher. In only movement during the performance - was a soft trill. Similar to Dr. Acriel's trill (not notes). 19 June - Drum area - 3 chasing - erratically through a an - low (2-5') from the ground - landed - 2 assumed head lowered, wings spread horizontally, tail cocked posterior - hind end elevated - 1 ran at each other - fluttering into the air (7') landing again - pausing - dashing at each other - both birds fluttering into an undulating beating - finally flying off low to ground in another chase. 27 June Nest #1 - E. of R. Area - seen - 1 adult - Numerous displays + aggressive octaves per hour between Drum & R. Area. The male call was heard only once but the female note was uttered frequently at at least two different species frequencies. 26 June Found nest - B.R. - north of [illegible] Plot rock 1 egg. 30 June Nest - ("above") - with 4 eggs - 1 bird incubating 6 July Nest #5 - Immediately behind DNL - When approached at 30' - bird flew off at at 65' - in a low flying, rapid, slightly zigzag flight - cocked head down - wings flapping. Landed 30' away + probable feet - gravel - laying place - with fresh [illegible]
