Holmes, R. 1961 Creunetes pucicellus 3 June Barrow, Alaska Two territorial encounters were seen on The Beach Ridge, just so. / AACS. [illegible] These were both aerial encounters & both birds displayed after contact. The contact consisted of the 2 flying swiftly side by side for a short while, then separating & going into the hovering aerial display, after they were several hundred yards apart. From this area on The beach ridge, at least 4-5 birds could be heard. 4 June - 2 indiv. seen near Britton's area. - see pucicellus discussion. 5 June 2 pair seen south / Britton's area. 6 June A courting pair was seen near Vrith's area.
