Holmes,R. 1959 Eremetes pusillus 10 june Barrow Alaska Two (1 pr.) seen and collected near the gas well road. The ova of the female were greatly enlarged, indicating that they had probably developed along the way-in migration (?). These two were seen feeding, no displays noted. 11 june Barrow, Alaska Several pair seen in the drum area, and the flight song was noted. The 8 will fly 50 to 75 feet into the air, the glide for a second or two and then vibrates its wings rapidly for another second + then repeat the glide. This is accompanied by a steady chattering - sewing machine like note which hardly varies during the entire flight.
