Holmes,R 1962 Arenaria innotata 24 may BARROW, ALASKA 15-20 seen along the bluffs bordering Elson Lagoon - where small patch 1 edge + gran crumb areas are exposed. There were n groups of 2, 3, + 4. 2's or most common - I may have been paired birds. The rattling gurgled call note was heard from 1 bird on the ground + one flying off after being disturbed. 30 may Several seen along the bluffs west of Elson Lagoon - There was a considerable amount of chasing - apparently between ST. 2 or more - an aggressive act was seen when 1 bird assumed a hunched or posture - with head forward + tail depressed + slightly spread - The bird also crouched then [illegible] towards the bird which had just landed nearby. The two birds flew off in erratic chase. 1 June Group 1,3 + Then 4 were flushed/distracted near Elson Lagoon. No interaction seen Today. A flush of 9 with 5+1 Golden Plover Seen N. 1 Voth's area.
