17 June Barrow, Alaska
The same pair - as described above - was watched. Both birds standing on Dr. Hurdan - Palut - & standing off to the side. Finally - both ran - or 10' or so behind the & - one who was running with head down - as if heading for a nest. Finally she stopped - apparently in a cup - 1 egg in the above nest (at 1500) pair nearby.
21 June Several pairs - Strovail census plots - one pair still copulating. Birds were not very broody & would not return to nest.
25 June Nest on B. P. - with 4 eggs
27 June 3 Nests found on Strovail Census plots - all with 4 eggs - & all were incubating in all cases.
29 June Two nests located - 1 at the south end (in DN) with 4 eggs (stowed); one So. 1 (Wortham) (in the south bay) with 3 eggs (strikes)
2 July Two out of three nests on the plot (Strovail) were still present & incubating. The 3rd (near 15.4) was gone; there was no sign of the points.
3 July Stock of 13+ No. of meadows lake - all feeding together - several showing signs of molt. Nest near Bloch bon steering with both birds - recently, it was incubating.
