Holmrs, R. 1962 Pluvialis dominica 26 may Barrow, Alaska Cade observed 2 birds near Footprint Lake. 29 may 1 pair seen No. 1 Wolschlog - river to ookpik. all but one even feeding 30 may 2-3 pair seen along Elson Lagoon. One pair was watched + as a 3rd bird flew in - both members of the pair both flew up-dugarte, No. 4 staying behind No. 3. As they flew - the what - swift twit - was our gain. - Apparently the pair is already settled + starting to differ hunting - (carder & Chirp coffee). 1 June 1 pair + 3 seen along No. 1 Elson Lagoon. I was seen No. 1 Wolsch area. 2 June 1 near North Area 3 June 2 (or) along Elsa Bluffs 5 June 1 near Britton's Area. 6 June 1 pr + 1 widow - along Elsa Bluffs - now near Volk - So. of the Village w. at Shmait. They well hooded their wings vertically when landing - for a second time. 7 June 1 individual seen in Britton's Area. 8 June One seen on Elson Bluffs. 9 June None seen - Britton - Volk - Village Lagoon - Shmait - Footprint.
