Holmes, R. 1961 Pluviailij dominica 13 June Barrow, Alaska - Ikravik A Three-sore was observed on the census plot ah Ikravik. When first seen, it was Thought that two B5 were having a bouncy dispute, with much chasing going on. Then when I D scouted The other flew with a Third bird, The 4 pursuer & began to give her The very fast + then I thought - or attempt at copulation. The other interrupted, however, & flew up & almost out - The chase lasted for a minute - then 3 finally the pursued flew off to the E. - The pursuer came back & settled near The Q. - Possibly B5 are in short supply? 24 June Numerous pair seen along the west slope of the BP & south of Wohlschlag Slough. 1 Nest was located 1824 as said (N°), on the trail & Schultz's plot - 4 eggs were present, The I went at a very poor dischother display with tail lowered & widely fanned, hindered birds, with precarious flutter & spreading both wings diagonally & the fluttering on the ground. This was The most violent display that I have seen from a ptaveer this year.
