Holmes,R. 1960 Pluvialis dominica 2 June Bannu, Alaska I seen near ootfish slough by Maher 12 June - A pair located 30. of the main inlet into Iktroavik. 13 June - 1 pr. seen on beach ridge near beverage antennae. Several other birds were noted along the ridge. 16 June - Several birds seen along the beach ridge in the morning. No evidence of settled birds was noted. 20 June - 1 pr. seen on Beach Ridge. 23 June - Several pairs seen to be residents / The plot at Iktroavik. The wing raising in these birds is very similar to the behavior in the Sandpiper. It also appears to be a typical Recognition Signal, as it is often seen upon landing 28 June Wainright, Alaska Several pair seen near the site. 1 July Iktroavik, Alaska Two nests Found in the North 40 - Part of the center area. One had 3 eggs (light colored with dark black spots). The second nest, 600 feet away, had 4 eggs, which were more heavily spotted. Then the other set.
