Holmes, R. 1959 Pluvialis dominica 17 June Colville Delta and P6WZ, Alaska Several noted near the landing strip at P6WZ and a few were seen flying over the Colville Delta. 19 June Barrow, Alaska These birds were quite common today. They could be heard giving several harsh paired calls as they flew across the beach ridge. Several couples could be seen along the edge of the ridge and on the low flats. 23 June Barrow, Alaska Several seen scattered out along the beach ridge and adjoining low flats. They do not seem to be abundant. 6 July Barrow, Alaska. Three seen just so. 1 The beach ridge in the vicinity of the beverage antennae. These were feeding. The others were noted on central marsh near the flood lines. 7 July Barrow, Alaska A pair was found and a nest was located 50 yards east of the west beverage antennae (just NW 1/4 ACS).
