Holmes,P. 1959 4. Clangula hyemalis 7 July Barrow, Alaska not hidden by them.. The nest was comprised 1 down which had picked up for pretty grass and fine had become intertwined with the down. The 6 eggs were tan colored with no spots. The down was not covering the eggs, due to the fact that the female was flushed from the nest. Several of the females have been seen in small parks between the drumman and the beach ridge. 10 July Barrow, Alaska The nest was checked out at 8:30 short the 6 eggs. 13 July Barrow, Alaska Only 12 were present a freshwater logan during the afternoon, and there were spread along the edge of the ice. 15 July Barrow Alaska Several were seen near the sound and 1 footprint lake (not in the lake itself but in my ponds see it). Both males and females were seen. Also 30-40 were noted along the ocean just so. of the base.
