Holmes, R. 1960 Arctonetta fischeri 2 July Ikerovik, Alaska The & in the pond by the wanigan usually stays by himself (away from the Stellar's Eiders + Id squares), and when he does encounter them during feeding, he usually just moves with opposite direction. One & stellar - picked towards him + started to join him, but this only lasted a second or two. He after spends his time sleeping or preening on the bank. 14 July - No sign of the birds have been recon 8 July (when the & was seen). 16 July Barrow Alaska A & + 6 young seen a good bunch of whold selloy Strogh near The Fertilizer plots. 21 July - A brood with young was reported near the main inlet into Shoorl (NE) The wanigan by Henry Brower. 28 July - a & with 5, 1 week-old chicks, was seen near the meadow lakes. Three of the young were banded. Another brood of 6 young chicks were seen by Weeks in the same area during the afternoon. Several & seen in the area.
