Holmes,R. 1960 Polysticta stellani 8. 26 July Ikmank, Alaska The nest just south of Lom lake now contains 6 eggs, and there was no sign of pipping. The mud itself, is made of just small pieces of grass and no down. The grass is piled around the eggs, but cannot be pulled out. The down usually is. 30 August Barrow - South Barrow 3, Alaska Two broods 1 7-5? - seen 5 of dry lake + coast of Ikmank. One 8. hood found at a crow nest. 7 August Barrow, Alaska A 9 with 3 young seen just least 1Th gasoline near ATES. The young were banded. 9 August - A brood of 6 young were caught in our trapline near Salt Logan (line X - stake 9.0-9.4). The 9 was still present, and she gave a strong distraction display (One young was still alive but was quite far gone). 15 August - A 9 with 7 half-grown young seen at The outlet with Ikmank. 21 August The same 9 seen with 9 young Today.
