16 July Barrow, Alaska
The nest was checked today. The
female was incubating upon our
approach and flushed when we were
about 30 yards away. There were
still 2 eggs, but the nest had
been built up with a few pine
pieces of sedge. Another one
was seen several ponds away
which may have been the mate
of this incubating bird or
it had a nest of its own.
18 July Barrow, Alaska
One senior loon pond, just so. 1 foot print
lake. It has been noticed there several
times. Another was seen on the small
ponds no. 1 Skua-vit lake.
31 July Barrow, Alaska
The next No. 1 Woshlesblog Slough
was checked. The eggs had
hatched and are chicks were
seen in the pond. One adult
was also present.
10 August Barrow - Unniat - Pitt Point Alaska
