Holmia,R. 1959 8 July Barrow, Alaska Seven males were seen in a small pond near Voth's Area (Tragline III B). A lone female was observed in a small pond at the start. The traps line, and a pair was noted near the end. The traps lines. The males even seem where the creek empties into the middle Soltuakas logan. 9 July Barrow, Alaska Six males seen near Voth's Free Sleepy -(during high corina). 13 July Barrow, Alaska One male seen in a small pond in Voth's Slough. 15 July Barrow, Alaska Two nests were discovered (near) the south end and 1 foot print lake. One was located 40 yards S.E. of the drainage canal at the So. end of the lake and about 1/4 mile S.E. of the gas well. It was in a slightly polygonized area which was covered by sedges and grasses. The nest, itself, was fairly high up on the polygon any about 15 feet from the low ditch. There were 6 eggs which were about the size of a chick egg (large) and were
