Salt 1947 Journal Cammatti Creek, 1450', San Luis Obispo Co., Calif. Aug. 26. Ran trap lines after breakfast. Caught 2 ♂ & 1 ♀ Dipodomys & 2 Perognathus.. All five were caught along the ridge of the hill in manzanita growth. Walked along Cammati creek east of camp about 1/2 mile through cottonwoods and oaks. Then took off at right angle to creek up side draws in Jigger Pine forest. Collected a Calif Thrasher and a Calif Jay, in this association. Camp back to camp. Saw four birds possibly Phainopepla on the way in. Skinned all the rest of the day. Set out traps before dinner in same locality except avoided Eriogonum and concentrated on manzanita. Went out with Dr. Miller to watch him set his traps. Saw a Badger as I was out setting my own trap line. Birds W.
