the litters of young moles not looking at all well. They are getting thin and in fact the rest of bunch were dead. Next day March 1 they obviously are not getting fed so started to feed with eye droppers. However during night of Mar. 1 they all died.
March 3, 1959
Upon arriving at work at 7:30 A.M. one of the ♀'s taken Feb 28, with a shovel; I did not act right. She looked as though she was going to die. I offered live meal worms and H₂O and she very weakly took both. This went on from 8-11:30 A.M. and then she seemed a bit stronger. At 11:45 A.M. I looked in cage and there was one young am and she was busy eating the pack. By noon she had 2 more. At 4 P.M. looked and 2 were dead. Removed the live one and gave it to a white rat that had just had young.
