Thought there might be a possibility the moles were smelling once that had been in traps previously so took 15 of the traps to a milk processing plant and steam cleaned them. Reset these traps on Swan's Ranch where there is an abundance of workings. Slept in truck in the field.

Traps still do not work. From 18 sets had 11 misses + 7 no works.

Since the traps have failed to take ♀s in sufficient numbers I'm gearping [sic] for ideas to get more of them and last decided to try to dig them out but with the aid of a gadget to tell me when they were working. Decided to have a light go on when they are working then sneak up and dig them out with a shovel.
