W.C. Rossell M.V.Z., Berkeley, Calif. Jan 16 1959 Drove to Marin Co this morning to resume trapping for moles. Am now armed with my 10th version of a live trap for this animal. This trap was tried out on a short trip to Modoc Co in June 1958 and was quite successful. Now have high hopes of being able to get live moles in some quantity. The trapping area is along the highway some 3 mi. E to 3 mi. W of Tomales. Made 14 sets between 8 AM & noon. In late afternoon checked traps & took 2 moles - 1 alive & 1 killed in trap.
