C.Russall Leaving for Yellowstone Park. Aug 14, 1967 This one might say is a momentous occasion in the annals of MV2 collecting trips. To go back a bit in history - twas in July 1928 that C R Hall & I were in SW Nevada. This was my first collecting trip and we were using a small Model T Ford as a truck. Now 39 years later we are outfitted with a 3/4 ton Chevrolet truck with a 10 ft Holiday camper mounted on truck! All the conveniences of home, sink, 20 gal H2O tank, 3 burner butane stove & oven, butane 3 cu. ft. refrigerator, double bed over the truck cab & single bed can be made in the dining area. For 2 people storage space is adequate. This is quite different from the way the museum collector Leis started out. First pack horse, then team & wagon, sometimes by train & then hire someone to take them by team to camp. Then the early automobile. Even in 1928 Dallas I had 11 flat tires in 2 days. How many trips go or come
