Hammond Fly are usually lading or singing high above ground, up to 100 ft. or so. We can't reach them without .36 shells, so far have not detected the song of any other fly catcher since Oliver siddell.
No activity on any steel pit or my sat trap sets in camping area.

Hunted in cut over land where they felled the trees & left the logs just where they fell. Nice to walk through.
While not taking a road I gave some Bigmy Owl calls & an owl answer started to call. I started up the timbered slope toward the call and walked at least 400 yds before finally catching up with the bird. After starting to return to road another answered on same line & it was taken. Apparently what happened was the first call I heard was the nearest - I walked past it & on to a second bird then picked up the first one to call our return trips.
