The above 8 specimens taken on a hunting trip. Jerry Russell, WW Middleton and I spent 10 days on an elk hunt beginning Oct 11 1965. Had a very successful hunt. We took 3 elk & 2 black bears.
# 14174 was taken by another party of hunters. This bear had sailed their meat - night before. They waited up for it & shot it right in camp.
