W.O. Russell MVZ, Berkeley, Calif. Jan 9 1965 acc 10366 (cont'd) Quail - # 94 Pheasant 152 Duck 705 Geese 80 One is conservative in saying that with the exception of the geese the dog was directly responsible for at least 25-33% of these birds. The dog became decrepit in that at the end of a day's hunt he could scarcely walk for 2 days afterward. His hind legs gained him too he refused to walk. Some 5-6 years ago he fell out of the truck traveling 35 mi. per hr. This tore up the muscles of st. front leg till it was unable for a month or so. No bones broken that we knew of. In 2 mo. he was running again.
