One is conservative in saying that with the exception of the geese the dog was directly responsible for at least 25-33% of these birds.
The dog became decrepit in that at the end of a day's hunt he could scarcely walk for 2 days afterward. His hind legs gained him too he refused to walk.
Some 5-6 years ago he fell out of the truck traveling 35 mi. per hr. This tore up the muscles of st. front leg till it was unable for a month or so. No bones broken that we knew of. In 2 mo. he was running again.
