Found dead Aug 11 1960 by Mrs Dorothy Albitse.
Bird sec. as a dry carcass with feathers & skin intact - no muscles or viscera left. Muscles on head still in place. Judging from feathers it was not full adult plumage.
I cooked carcass and attempted to bug the head. After a few days in bug room - well examined there were thousands of dead beetles in the box. Practically no meat had been eaten. A large sample of these dead dermestid larvae was sent to Davis for analysis, to determine the poison.
