W.C. Russell M.V.Z., Berkeley, Calif. Jan. 23, 1958 had just the faintest suggestion of gold swelling. Slides are being made to determine if it is pyg nodul. In the vicinity of Tamales saw 3 flocks of 75-100 Starlings. They were around the dairy cattle much like the flockes of Blackbirds. These are the first flockes I have seen since coming here to trap molees. The live traps didn't function worth a darn. Too hard to spring - will have to rework again. Jan 28 1958 The ? mole I had in captivity died after 5 days. I had not given her any water and this may have been the reason. She had 3 emb. all in one tube. 3 mi. W Tamales, Marin Co., Calif.
