!! Nov 25 = 1959
2mo on a diet of frozen cubes of a material
made up of 1/2 lb horse meat, 1/2 lb cottage cheese,
1 banana + 50-60 drops of vitamins. This mole
was not weight when captured but the 47.0g
at death represents a large loss in wt.
Looks as though it was not getting enough
to eat; The new nest boxes with insulation
seems to keep them warm, though
there haven't been any real cold nights
so far. Since the rain of Sept 11 1959
there has not been a drop of rain
up to this time, Nov 25 1959; all the
green grass is dying up and the
ground is as dry as in middle of
the summer.
P.S. Didn't rain till the 1st week in Jan
1960.
