Color description of spec. no. 3850 (cont.)
Chrome and Salmon Orange (Pl. II, 11, a) 2 inches
anterior to anus; slightly lighter than English
Red (nearer English Red than Grenadine Red)
(Pl. II, 7, i) posterior to anus. Top of head
same as dorsal color of tail. Ring a little
darker and grayer than ventral color in that
region, near Apricot Orange (Pl XIV, 11'). Iris
Apricot Orange, covered by a black wash
ventrally. The black wash decreasing on
sides. Only upper 1/3 of iris clear Apricot Orange.
This Apricot Orange part of the iris is
difficult to see without magnification.

"Caught by H. Adamson, Canon cleft cube specimen was
cought was supplied with some moisture and vege-
tation, although rest of mountain was very barren and
dry. Specimen disgorged a partially digested mouse
1 day after capture.
