April 15, 1943 I showed my specimens to a Mexican ranch hand at the home of the owner of [the land at] this end of Little Table Mountain and he said he had seen such lizards around there, especially up on the hillsides. Though we only collected two skinks we saw 9 altogether crawling over rocks and escaping in rock crevices or rodent burrows around the rocks.
