R.K. Smith Ranch, 6 1/2 mi. NE Clovis

April 15, 1943
Skinks were found here in a 1 acre lot surrounding the old foundation of the old R.K. Smith home. It was build, according to Mr. Exeter (long time partner of R.K. Smith in the cattle business), 28 years ago at the cost of $12,000 and burned 5 years ago. The lot is grass covered and contains about 50 exotic trees. Skinks were found under boards around the old foundation. Ground light and loamy.
