3542 Eumeces skiltonianus collected by W.W. Dalquest

The above three specimens were collected by Dalquest and myself in an hour's collecting. All were found under rocks that could not have been turned over by hand (without a pick). Most of the time was spent digging into rock piles or a bank under a bay tree. Two of the skinks were found at the top of the bank just out from under the foliage of the trees. One Ensatina, 1 Ictinus, 1 Breeder, and 2 Batrachoseps were all the vertebrates found under the rocks under the tree. The weather was clear and cool - a beautiful and pleasant day.
