Feb. 1
Wallace Wood, Mr. J.P. Slevin and Woods 4 ½ year old boy left San Francisco at about 7:50 am. for a collecting trip to the Santa Cruz Mts. It was raining hard at 6:00 am. and has rained very little as we drove down. We saw many Varis Thrushes along the road from Woodside to Sarville Lake. We must have seen about 200.
