J. Rodgers -1940 Utastanoburiana Feb.29 Mrs.Vert ZooL, Univ. Calif.,Berkeley,Alameda Co.Cal. which it was standing, then it drew back to a more alert position. I disturbed it by reaching toward it, and it ran 6 or 8 inches ahead. During the next 5 minutes it moves around the cage about as the other lizards did, but tried 3 times to scrape the piece of the bee from its mouth. The bee evidently stung the lizard an eighth of an inch ago inside its mouth. 3:55 The Uta seems perfectly normal, but still has the piece of the bee sticking out of its mouth.
