J. Rodgers -1942 Ernecea g. gilberti April 29 Mrs. Vert. Zool., Univ. Cal., Berkeley, Alameda Co., Calif. bellies - young very faintly so - adults light but distinctly green. Backs of adults are bronzy (no green); sides greenish down low, where the dorsal color blends with belly color. April 30 No. 22 was found dead in the cage this morning. It is the last of the group sent to me by Henry Fitch in 1938. After stiffening, it measures 101 mm. from snout to vent and the tail measures 82 + 69 mm. This, of course, can not be compared with measurements made on the specimen while alive. The animal has shown signs of losing weight and being sick since December or January, and has probably not grown during that time.
