See Itinerary of Sacramento Valley trip, Mar 6-9, pp 203A-D.
For several weeks I have noticed no. 22 gaping or
"smacking its lips". Today I notice that it is
just completing shedding; its head is bright red and
its body bright green. The tail has not yet shed, but
will no doubt also be bright green.
Apr 29. No. 22 is thinner and apparently sicker. It
probably won't live much longer.
