22 and 14 each ate a meal worm that has
been dipped in Sansostol. They ate it very
hesitately. They must have gotten a good drop
each
Mar. 13 No. 6 has been sick for some time. It gaps its
mouth, and is getting thin. To-day I gave her
it one meal worm (with head taken off) that has
been dipped in Sansostol.
July 16 A meal worm was crawling down into
the crumbly dirt of the bottom of the cage. About
1/3 of its length still showed, and that was
among clods of about 1/16 to 3/16 inches in diameter.
A sceloporus made several stable at it, but
failed to get hold of it. A skink came along,
moved down between the clods and took the
meal worm, with, apparently, no trouble at all!
Aug. 17 979 died to-day. It has been very thin and
inactive for the last two or three weeks.
Oct. 28 The following is measurements and
weights of the specimens in captivity. They have
not been fed since Saturday (Oct. 26). They
are also scaled down on the basis of probing
the femipores.
May 6 No. 6 died. (see pg. 1,3,17,22,28,39 +)
