The following color records are of young rattlesnakes that were removed from a freshly chloroformed female, (MVZ 33711) my number 2680. The dorsal blotches on the darkest (2682) MVZ 33713 (Pl. XL, 17"', m) are quite faintly lighter than Clove Brown centrally, and much darker around the edges. The blotches are progressively lighter on the others in approximately the following order 2683, 2685, 2684, 2686, 2681. The blotches on 2681 are between near Olive Brown (Pl XL, 17"', k), with darker edges. The blotches on the mother (2650) are between Olive Brown and Buffy Brown (Pl XL, 17", j) anteriorly on the body and darker posteriorly; they are also edged with darker color. There are light eakings on the scales of the sides and belly that are between Light Vinaceous-Fawn and Vinaceous Fawn (Pl. XL, 15"', d). Anteriorly the ventral scales are grayish and brownish. Anteriorly, the scales on the sides are grayish or brownish also, but it is extremely variable on the side, some scales being almost all the light color (Pl XL, 15", d)
