J Rodgers - 1940 3 Batrachosaps attenuatus Oct. 12 Austin Creek, 90 ft, 1 mi.s Cazadero, [illegible] Sonoma Co., Calif. About 6:30 pm, one of the boys on the Grinnell Naturalists Society trip (Erney Johnson) found a Batrachosaps crawling on the surface of a dry rock at the foot of the bank along the road about 200 yards of the Berkeley City Camp. No other salamanders were found either under objects or on the surface of the ground. The only other salamanders found were Triturus similane, and they were in a pool.
