Hoover's home on Ranchos del Oros at 11:00 am. (he (earlier than had expected)) found that Hoover had gotten a late start to Santa Cruz that morning and would not be back before noon. Also, the other car of the party (Paul Martin, George Myers, Anita Dougherty, and Sherburne Cobb) had not yet arrived. We went back down to the meet gate, parked the car and spent about 35 min. looking for amphibians in the black muley area around and below a spring just inside of (Dr. Wright found 1 Rana) the gate. The other car arrived and we went up th canyon to Stephens Camp. Me spent an hour or so collecting around the camp and up the small creek behind the camp, ate lunch then hiked up to about ½ mile above the forks, collecting all the way up and back. 2835 Eucalies e. eschscholtzii 2836 " " 2837 Batrachoseps a. attenuatus 2838 " " 2839 " " 2840 " " 2841 " " 2842 Ancides l. lucubris flavipunctatus 2843 " " 2844 Triturus granulosa 2845 " " 2846 " "
