Dec. 1941 2834 Euneces su species notes E.g. gilberti This specimen was collected by a student ? Mr. Jack Arnold, while they were on a field trip along the south levee of the Bypass (?) just north ? of the Western Pacific Station (about 1/3 mile north ? of College of the Pacific Campus). It was found under a slab of old sidewalk, on the north- Facing slope of the leve. The specimen was kept in a tenarium in the lab. (College ? Pacific) aline and given to me Jan. 18 by Arnold. Quote from a letter from John R. Arnold, Feb. 11, 1942 : "... was collected on the [south] bank of the Calaveras River approximately 200 yards west of the crossing on Pacific Avenue and the Calaveras River. This is one north of the College of the Pacific campus and is approximately 25 yards north of the railroad track... found under old sidewalk paving which had been thrown on the bank".
