15:30 hrs. Completed preparing 11 P. Mexicanus skins.
I left the car headlights on and the car will not start.
Ed and I will walk up the road to Viota Hermosa to
see if anyone has any cables.
16:20 hrs Arrived back from Viota Hermosa no cables then,
huckily the town was only ca. 700 m up the road.
I am going to set some traps near town. The weather
is bad: ca 55° F and raining
17:40 hrs Arrived back at camp. The area in which I set traps
was off a path that began to the left at the middle of town
and descended rather quickly. Traps were set above and below
the trail ca. 300 m below the town.

21:00 hrs We had to fire and eat food in the vehicle as it
was cold windy, and raining. Temp ca. 10 °C. We
prepared a series of P. Mexicanus from Ojo de Agua.
3 January
07:00 hrs Arose to find the weather had cleared. Temp. ca. 8°C.
I will check traps while Ed and David remain in camp.
08:40 hrs Returned to camp From 40 Sherman's I collected
8 P. Mexicanus, 8 Oncyrops candidatus, and 2 Neteronops.
11:55 hrs We have spent the morning preparing more study
skins. I also took tissue on 3 O. candidatus, on of
