0940 hrs ca. 4 mi E (by id) outskirts of Cordoba is a road
to Potrero mi 48.4 that goes to the left (north). The
objective of these directions are to get to Ojo de Agua.
mi 48.7 cross over river, soon road turns to the right, and
you pass an old Hacienda, converted now to some government
agricultural installation. Mileage [illegible] - take a left hand
turn, now in town of [illegible]. Mileage 50.1 cross over
railroad; 50.2 road bends to the right; mileage 50.4
take right hard fork; mileage 51.5 continue straight
ahead at this road junction; 51.7 take right hand
fork in road; 51.9 turn left onto a larger dirt road
52.7 take left fork in road, then continue on this road
until it dead ends (mileage 54.7). At this point, trails
lead to the right, ca. 500 m is the Ojo de Agua
or Ojo de Rio Altope.)
1545 hrs Completed setting out 80 Sherman's. The majority of
these are set in dense undergrowth. The area is very
sucky, little leaf litter. Many areas are thinned out,
some large trees remain. In this same area last year,
(June) Netrop, Q. melanotio, P mexicanus, and B. taylort
were collected.
2205 hrs Two bat net which were set out earlier in the
evening have thus far yielded 1 Rhogeessa turnida; 6
Myotis nigricans, ca. 30 Stursomii and several Micronyctus?
The latter two species were all released. Tissues were taken on
the Rhogeessa and a M. nigricans
