0710 hrs Arose and pinned out specimen from last evening's
tarotyping.
11:20 hrs After breakfast and making slides from animals
tarotyped last night we are ready to begin taking blood
and tissue
1555 hrs Completed taking blood and tissue on the following:
15.
hospidus, # 1579, 12 P. mexicanus #1580-1589, 1591-2, 4 (heteromys)
1593-96, and 3 more P. mexicanus #1597-99. I failed to give
the localities for the animals trapped on 29 December.
The locality Ed and David trapped was 9.5 mi SE (by rd.)
Cateraco, 50m, whereas mine was 8.8 mi SE (by rd.) Cateraco,
50m.
2140 hrs Have spent the remainder of the afternoon and evening
repacking the vehicle, ordering the Sherman traps, and
changing litter in live animal cages as well as pinning
out some animals. Tomorrow we will pick up a few
supplies and then drive to Ajo de Agua. We should get
there early enough to set out many traps. I would like to
pick up a small series of Heteromys from here, then off to
the Tiptepe area. The weather today was once again cool.
Cloudy in the morning, partly cloudy in the afternoon. I think
rain may be offering tomorrow.
