Out of twenty traps set in disturbed areas, with some large trees collected 9 Promyops saxacensis? This area was on a hillside with much understory vegetation, many vines. There were a few medium size (ca..5 m) rocks scattered on the hillside. The second trapline set on another hillside with more mature vegetation yielded 3 more Promyops and a Reithrodontomyx (probably fulvescens). This area was also characterized by a heavy understory of vines, but more ferns were present, and what trees there were (pines x others) were larger. 0855hs Broke camp and drove back into town to get a mileage reading.
