Duke S Rogan 1980 Journal 21 1320 hrs Arrived San Cristobal. Picked up more supplies. 1405 hrs Unable to navigate road that David knew of as power lines were down across it. We will instead head to another place I saw coming in to San Cristobal 1435 hrs Arrived at place I spotted earlier (4 mi W byrd.) San Cristobal, 2000 m.) There is a good place to turn of the road just past a sign saying " Tunnel" when head toward San Cristobal. 1705 hrs. Arrived back at camp after setting 40 Sherman's. The habitat is dominated by pines, with some deciduous mixed in. Very little ground cover. More cover on forest edge near road. Trap success will probably be low. 1725 hrs Began preparing another series of P. mexicanus (DSR 1443-1452) 1910 hrs Took a break for supper. The clouds have rolled in and there is a heavy mist. Very chilly air. 2015. Began preparing the mice 2155 Final entry. The fog has lifted somewhat. We will pick up traps (100 out) tomorrow morning, get gas in San Cristobal, then drive the road north toward Teapa, stopping near Rayon to set traps and hopefully Obtain more Netunegs. 21 December 0710 hrs Arose; dressed to check traps. 0845 hrs Returned to camp.
