0936 hrs Ed returned, having caught one Reithro of the same type and a C. I. guatemalensis. David collected only a single animal also, a Reithro., but much smaller and less tawney, which below. The animal may be a only a subadult, but it is doubtful that it is the same species as the other Reithros we have collected thus far.
0945 hrs. While eating breakfast, we saw a UFO. The moment before I saw the object was heard a swishing sound like a projectile. David saw the first one as well. About 30 seconds later I saw and heard a second UFO. It looked to be very small, flying above the trees, headed towards the peak of the mountain traveling NE to SW. It was shaped like this: [illegible] arrow
No trail of smoke behind.
1026 hrs Packed all the camping equipment and headed for the summit.
1330 hrs Finished purchasing food in the market in Motozintla. We were unable to reach the summit as the carrigall was running poorly. We had to back-up (going downhill) ca. 9.5 mi. to the camp where we turned around. The vehicle ran better with the air filter taken out. We bought a replacement in Motozintla.
1456 hrs Arrived Huitla and checked in to Hotel [illegible]
